Fall Trends to Start Wearing Now

Since it’s officially pumpkin spice season, I’m starting to get into the fall spirit! I’m ready for the weather to cooperate so I can break out the sweaters and boots, but for now I’m introducing some transitional pieces that will carry me through fall. So, if you’re as excited for fall as I am, then here are some fall trends you can start wearing now even before the temps start to drop…

Sweater Vests

If you haven’t jumped on the sweater vest train yet, then now’s the perfect time to introduce them into your wardrobe! These are perfect for wearing now when it's a little warmer, and can easily transition into fall by layering it over a turtleneck bodysuit! I love how versatile they are, plus that preppy look will be trending all season which I’m a huge fan of right now.

Shackets

Shackets were a huge trend last year, and I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon! Shackets are great transitional pieces because they are lighter than a jacket but warmer than a shirt. They’re easy to throw on over some jeans or even leggings.

Pleated Skirts

I’ve been obsessed with pleated skirts lately! I just love the preppy tennis skirt trend, so you know I’ll be wearing them all season long. They can be styled with some sneakers, booties, or with some tights as the weather gets colder. I’ve especially been loving a white skirt lately, but I’ve been seeing them in plaid, leather and a ton of other prints and fabrics as well.

Mock Neck Tops & Sleeveless Turtlenecks

A mock neck top or sleeveless turtleneck is the perfect for those days that are too hot for a long sleeve, but too cold for just a tank a tee. They’re also great for layering, especially for those crisp mornings or cooler evenings.

Wide Leg Trousers

You guys are always asking me for work wear recommendations, and even though I don’t really wear traditional business attire, I think wide leg trousers would be perfect for the office or even date night! I think they look chic paired with a more fitted top or even a matching blazer.

Slit Pants

Slit pants have certainly been trending lately, and will be huge this fall and winter as well. On warmer days, I like wearing them with a tank and some sneakers, but they could easily be styled with some boots and a jacket when it gets colder too.
